Which WhatsApp platform does AksharWAP use?
The official WhatsApp Business Platform via Meta’s Cloud API. Your WhatsApp Business Account stays yours — AksharWAP connects to it, sends and receives through it, and manages your templates against it.
Can I use my existing WhatsApp number?
A number can be connected if it is not currently active on the consumer WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, which is Meta’s requirement. You can onboard a WhatsApp Business Account directly from inside AksharWAP through Meta’s embedded signup, or connect a number you have already registered.
How many team members can I add?
Agent seats are unlimited, as are the number of WhatsApp numbers you connect and the custom roles you define. Each role controls exactly which modules a person can open.
What can I automate?
Automation rules react to an incoming message — sending a reply, applying a tag, or assigning the conversation to an agent or team. Quick replies give agents saved responses, and AI agents can handle a conversation on their own until it needs a person.
How does the AI chatbot work?
You configure an AI agent with the context it should answer from. It responds to incoming conversations automatically and hands the thread to a human when the conversation moves beyond what it is set up to cover. Every AI reply is visible in the shared inbox alongside the rest of the thread.
Does it manage my contacts?
Yes. Contacts carry attributes, tags and their full conversation history, can be imported from CSV, and can be segmented for campaigns or assigned to a team. The same records are reachable from the REST API.
How do campaigns get sent?
You pick an approved WhatsApp template, choose the contacts or segment to send it to, and launch or schedule the run. The campaign reports per-recipient status, so you can see what was delivered, read and replied to rather than just how many were queued.
